The 6th Annual Willoughby Rotary Foundation - Kurt Luedtke Memorial Golf Outing Fundraiser event was held at Crystal Lake Golf Course in Beulah, Michigan on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The 6th Annual Willoughby Rotary Foundation - Kurt Luedtke Memorial Golf Outing Fundraiser event was held at Crystal Lake Golf Course in Beulah, Michigan on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
Sixty-Four golfers played in the scramble style event (where each team starts on a different hole around the course, and at each hole only the best score for each team is recorded). This means that anybody can participate, and if you have just one good player your team might win!
Also featured was a “closest-to-the-keg” contest, at hole #1, where for $5.00 each you try to hit your ball closest to a keg of beer 200 yards away, for a basket of prizes.
Donuts and coffee were served before tee time (8:00am) and pizza after the course was completed (about 12:00 noon). Prizes were handed out during pizza time.
The total raised from this event was approximately $20,000, all of which goes to Willoughby Rotary Foundations youth scholarship fund. Scholarships to be awarded this year are expected to amount to $20,000. This one event will cover the entire 2026 scholarship program!
