UPDATE: Rotary Meetings cancelled through April 30, 2020.

Dear Frankfort/Visiting Rotarians and Friends,

Scott Harrison and I have been in conversation for the last couple of days regarding whether to continue our weekly Frankfort Rotary meetings. (Scott had gone to PETS training in Kalamazoo, but was home because they suspended the meeting mid-day Friday due to corona virus concerns.)

We have also talked with leaders of the Benzie Sunrise Rotary, Judy Remmert at the hotel, and some of our members who have decided to self-isolate. We’ve noted the decisions of other community organizations to suspend public meetings, even churches with smaller memberships this time of year.

So, as they say, in an abundance of caution, and concern for the continued good health of our members, we have decided to suspend our local meetings between tomorrow, March 16, through April 30.

If any members would like help with grocery shopping or other errands, please contact me or Scott. Also, I have communicated with Jeff Tousley to see if we could be of any help to the schools, maybe donations for food, if needed.

We will all be watching the progression of the disease, and we will be able to alter this decision in three weeks if that seems prudent.

In the meantime, please stay safe and practice the guidelines suggested by our local and national healthcare organizations.

Carol Marsh and Scott Harrison
